Final instructions and entry list are here on the web site, but the additional information for competitors only is being emailed to direct to email address shown on your entry form.  Please ensure you open and print off the attachments

The Regis Rally 2007-Saturday October 13th

Final Instructions

 

Thank you for your entry for The Regis Rally 2007.

Your start number can be found on the attached entry list.

Standard time, car 0, for the start MC-1 is 0900 hrs.

Your start time is 0900 hrs + your start number.

 

Scrutineering

The Friday evening Scrutineering venue will be at Fordingbridge plc on the A27 near Fontwell MR197/96250680. Follow signs to ‘Engineering Works’ and local arrows.

Please be QUIET. It will open at 1900 hrs and close at 2030 hrs.

Saturday Scrutineering will take place at Amberley Working Museum, enter via MR 197/0280 1195-follow local arrows. It will open at 0715 hrs and close at 0830 hrs.

Please proceed to the noise test before you complete Scrutineering and Documentation.

There are no specific times allocated to competitors, but please turn up in good time for both Friday and Saturday sessions.

 

Noise Test

There is NO noise test on the Friday evening. Scrutineering can be completed Friday but all cars must be Noise tested on the Saturday morning. Cars not scrutineered on Friday, please complete noise test before scrutineering.

Saturday Noise Test will open at 0715hrs and close at 0830 hrs. Enter via 197/ 0280 1195 and follow local arrows. There are no specific times allocated to competitors.

 

Documentation

Friday documentation will take place Fordingbridge plc., the scrutineering venue, MR197/96250680. Documentation is open from 1900 hrs to 2045 hrs.

Saturday documentation will be in the Amberley Working Museum. It will be open from 0730 hrs to 0845 hrs

Refreshments and a breakfast menu will be available on Saturday morning from 0730 hrs.

 

Petrol

There is no fuel near the start so fill up before you arrive. Tesco fuel is available close to the lunch halt as Competitors Master Route after approximately 70 miles but the Esso Fuel, Tangmere, at approx 85 miles is the better option.

 

Measured Distance

A measured mile is available at all times between 197/8955 0690 (2 Way Traffic sign on left) and 9055 0795 (40 mph sign) on the A285. This distance was used to set the trip in the car used to measure all distances and is clearly marked. A measured distance of 2 miles will be set up on Saturday morning from 07.00hrs on the A284 between the "Reduce Speed Now" sign at 197/0035 1055 and 197/0115 0740(End of distance will be clearly marked).

 

Competitors Master Route

The Competitors Master Route gives you the location of Main Controls, some regularity starts and finishes (EOR), Special test and Fuel locations. The table also gives the opening & closing times for Main Controls, Special tests and Regularities. The locations of the remaining MC, RS, EOR & Vias will be advised when rally packs are issued on Saturday morning.

The navigation handout for the first regularity will be handed out not more than 30 minutes before your scheduled start time in exchange for your fully completed process card. The handouts for the remaining regularities will be handed out at different times throughout the day.

 

Out of Bounds areas (Blackspots)

There are currently no out of bounds areas(Blackspots). Out of Bounds areas may be notified in Regularity route handouts.

 

Quiet Zones

The following are MSA notified and additional Quiet Zones that may or may not be on the correct Rally route:-

200 metre radius:- 9150 2085, 8000 2420, 8250 1840 & 8570 2350

Grid Squares:- 8304, 8305, 8508, 8608, 0418, 0518, 8820, 8821, 8922, 9006, 8104, 7819, 9223, 9721, 8928 & 9608 W half.

All statutory 20, 30 & 40 mph limits.

 

Not all Quiet Zones will have ‘Q’ (Quiet in) and Q’ (Quiet out) boards but, those that do, are especially sensitive. Please note other Quiet Zones may be issued during the event.

 

Rally Plates and Advertising

Please note the rally plate we are providing is of the adhesive variety.

Please note the MSA regulation (E 2.23) for advertising on Road Rally cars.

Be prepared to remove or cover any decals that do not relate to clubs or championships.

 

Competitor Liaison

During the day Mark Aylward will be available as Competitor Liaison Officer for you to quiz and query! If you have any problems with the navigation or timing etc. please address them to Mark in the first instance. He is an experienced competitor and has been a Clerk of the Course on the Regis Rally, so he should be able to help you out.

 

Trailers

There is very limited space for trailers at Amberley. They must be left so as not to cause an obstruction and are left there at the owner’s risk. Under no circumstances, can trailers be accessed during the day until after 1730hrs.

Marshals
